Hooks and Fire

It's not very often we see crochet in fine art. I swiped this from the Lion Brand Yarn website - it's one of their free e-cards you can send out. Kewl, huh? I love a hook in an impressionistic painting! It's a Mary Cassett painting - she was one of the few female impressionism painters and from the U.S. Even more kewl! Mary loved hooks I think because this isn't the only painting she did with a woman and a hook. Here's another one:
