Hooks and Fire

as in knit stitch not the wedding garter!

Knitting is slow! Sorry you knitsters but it just is! I'm much faster with a hook than the double fisted needles. The scarf I'm knitting is pretty, though. One of the different things I love about knitting is a skein of yarn seems to last forever.

So must I resolve this with a show down?

I can see myself standing at high noon on a dusty street in the west - out of the saloon doors comes Knitty Girl packin' her needles, and there I am at the other end of the street with my handmade wooden Fancy Kitty J hook. Someone throws us two skeins of yarn and we start to work furiously....smoke rises up around me as I crochet and Knitty Girl sweats because she's throwin'and it takes too long!

I confess, Knitty Girl is just my alter ego - Hooksandfire when she's got the needles. Throwin' is much slower than hookin'

Hooksandfire is still faster than Knitty Girl - but I'm starting to really like Knitty Girl - I'd like her to stay.
