Hooks and Fire

Remember awhile back I was on a handcrafted wooden crochet hook buying binge? If you don't remember, go to the post here: winter 2007 and see. If you want the abridged version....when last I spoke of wooden crochet hooks I wished aloud that they were made slightly shorter than the 7 to 7.5 inch hooks that I had bought. Well, ask and you shall receive!

Here's the beauty that arrived at my house today:



Isn't she beautiful?!? My, oh, my on looks alone I'm gushing!! Once I started using the hook, I thought I had died and gone to heaven! It's made by G3 Studios on ebay.


The padded envelop was in my mailbox when I got home from work. I took it out of the nicely boxed package and ran to get my yarn. Not only is the hook beautiful but it's "short." I LOVE short!! Six perfect inches! Just the right length to balance in your hand and not too long to be too heavy. It hooks through the yarn like a dream! The in-line hook is perfectly angled so the yarn doesn't catch at the end of the hook. This hook is so perfectly suited to me, I wonder how many times I can say "perfect?" I'm out of words!

I think G3 Studios was listening when I said I wanted a shorter handmade wooden hook - they did everything right. Like Goldilocks said, this one's just right!
